Not believing in the constrictions imposed by genre-based classification, Casscomics becomes a genre of its own:
the genre in which the nonlinearity of the aural dimension is translated into narrative, and expressed through graphic art and vice versa.
Casscomics focuses on the integration of existing and sometimes considered “obsolete” technologies and formats with new technologies. it could seem that it is all about nostalgia, but Casscomics does not support contemporary archiving taste or reissue-mania.
Casscomics is devoted to present day environment and is engaged in current issues.In 2015 casscomics were immediate supporters of the cassette revival.
Even before becoming Casscomics, Casscomics was using cassettes and cassette recorders in their own creative process, thus continuing producing them was a simple choice to make, and be able to produce them in a friendly revival is a great opportunity.The cassette is an object highly customizable and suitable for original art.
The cassette is affordable and gets easily stored.
The cassette can decay—art is not eternal, but the idea behind it is.
The cassette never actually died, it was only temporarily out of fashion.
The cassette is not for rich people.
